Why I’m running for Johnson County Supervisor

Johnson County is more than just where I live—it’s home. From growing up in Solon to building my life in Iowa City, I’ve always been dedicated to strengthening our community through work, service, and recreation. Whether teaching at Ellen’s Play & Learn Daycare, working at Baxa's Sutliff Store & Tavern, volunteering with the Center for Worker Justice of Eastern Iowa, coaching with Iowa Soccer Club, or conducting research at UIHC, every experience has deepened my understanding of the people who make this county special.

As someone who has lived and worked in this community my entire life, I bring a perspective that is often missing from local government. As your county supervisor, I will use my lived experiences to make informed, thoughtful decisions that benefit all residents. My commitment to Johnson County will always guide my work, ensuring that every voice is heard and every community member has a seat at the table."
